Pachermo Peak

Pachermo Peak is located on the border of the Rolwaling and Everest region. It is a light technical peak to climb. The challenge of this climbing adventure is its remote location and the crossing of the technical Tashi Labtsa pass.

In Kathmandu we start with checking all gear and obtaining last permits. After that a private drive will bring you to the starting point of your Pachermo Peak adventure. The first days you will trek the off beaten trails into the remote Rolwaling Valley. Soon you start trekking you are watched over by the mighty mount Gaurishankar. At Na Goan you will enjoy an acclimatization day and a last night in a Rolwaling teahouse. In the following days its camping only until you have reached Thame in Everest region. Soon after you have left Na Goan you will reach Tsho Rolpa lake. One of the biggest glacial lakes in the midst of high mountain peaks. The next two days its glacier hiking, climbing and camping. The climbing sections have recently been updated with fixed via ferrata ropes. This also applies for the descending sections on the other side of the Tashi Labtsa pass. Also an emergency bivak shelter hut has been build nearby the Drolambu glacier.

Before you start the final summit of the Pachermo Peak you have to cross the Tashi Labtsa pass. You leave early in the morning for the peak climb. First back to the pass, and a steep climb towards the summit. From the Pachermo Peak you have a stunning view on the famous mountains like Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. On a clear day you can even see Dhaulagiri in the far distance. After that you will carefully descend back to high camp. Following days you slowly descend and hike to the village of Thame and onwards to Namche Bazaar. This big Sherpa village is great for a well deserved resting day and you can already start your souvenir shopping out here. At Lukla airport a flight will take you back to Kathmandu.
