Introduction

The Panchase Trek is a short trek starting at the beautiful Phewa Lake at Pokhara. This is a non-touristic and quiet trek. Filled with stunning panoramic views of the impressive Annapurna Mountains. The trek passes through some original Gurung villages. From Panchase Hill, you will be treated to an amazing sunrise of the Annapurnas.

Panchase Trek Overview

This short trek starts with a relaxing boat tour to the other side of Lake Phewa. Next, it is a short but steep climb through a lush forest to the World Peace Pagoda. Once you have arrived at the Pagoda, you’ll have time to enjoy this peaceful place and enjoy the panoramic view of the Annapurna Mountain range. Along the trail, you will see authentic Gurung villages. On the first night, you’ll stay at the lovely teahouse of Bhumdi. Situated in the middle of the farmlands, you will have a wide view of the mountains and the surrounding area.

After Bhumdi, you hike a full day through a dense forest of rhododendron with local orchids hanging from the trees. This forest trail ends at the comfortable and lovely teahouse of Panchase Bhanjyang. Here, we will climb early in the morning to Panchase Hill for a breathtaking sunrise of the entire Annapurna Mountain range.

Following this sunrise, you move on to the Australian camp. Once settled at the teahouse, you can look back at Panchase Hill. Finally, heading to Phedi is a comfortable hike, and a taxi will bring you back to Pokhara and Phewa Lake.

It is possible to extend this trek with a variety of options in the Annapurna Mountain Range.
