Introduction

Lamjung Himal is located in the Annapurna mountain range, close to the Manaslu mountains. For the true adventurer, the Lamjung Himal trek is a remote tent trek with a maximum altitude of 4155m. After a half-day drive to the starting point of the trek, the trail starts in farmlands where you pass by terraced fields. Eventually, you are close to the Lamjung Himal Base Camp, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Himalaya mountains.

Lamjung Himal Trek Overview

A private car will bring you to Phaliya Sangu in the heart of the Annapurna District. Right after the drive, you can stretch your legs for a short hike and set up the first camp at Ghatte. The next day, you will hike to the authentic Gurung village of Ghale Goan. After this lovely village, you will hike more and more to the remote mountainous area.

Once you leave Kharka Danda, there are hardly any houses or farmers. Here, deep in the mountains, a day hike to the Lamjung Himal Base Camp is memorable. Truly, the views from the mountain lake towards Lamjung Himal and the Annapurna & Manaslu massifs are beautiful. After enjoying this view, you will hike over a mountain ridge, and you will also set up camp at this ridge. Come sunrise, the morning view from your tent is guaranteed spectacular.

From the ridge, you will descend through rhododendron and bamboo forest, passing by waterfalls. All too soon, the Lamjung Himal trek ends here. For your final journey, a private drive will take you back to Pokhara. Here,  you can relax at the lakeside or visit the stupa up the hill. It serves as a great place for a final goodbye to the Annapurnas.
