Home Annapurna & Mustang Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake
The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake is a famous trek in Nepal. On this adventure, you trek around the mighty Annapurnas and visit Tilicho Lake. This is a remote lake located at an altitude of 4919 meters. Throughout this trek, you start in a subtropical climate, visit the mountain lake and cross the high Thorung La pass with an altitude of 5416 meters.
Your adventure begins as the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake trek takes off from Dharapani. From here on, you trek through local forests and pass by farmer villages. You follow the Marsyangdi River all the way to, eventually, Tilicho Lake. First, you will enjoy a resting day at Manang. During this time, an optional day hike to a local monastery up the hill will help with the acclimatization. Within a few days, you will reach Tilicho Lake. The views around this high-altitude lake and its surrounding area are mighty impressive.
After that, you will continue your round Annapurna trek towards the high pass of Thorung La. Again, you will be treated to stunning views from the high pass. Following the pass, a long descent takes you to Muktinath. Notably, this site is holy for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. From here, the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake trek continues to Jomsom for a flight to Pokhara. Eventually, you can relax in this chill, vibrant town before you head back to Katmhandu.
