The Annapurna Base Camp trek starts near Pokhara, where you can already see the snowy mountain peaks. This popular trek takes you to the heart of the Annapurna mountain range, to the Annapurna Base Camp. Along the trail, you pass rice terraces and see the village life of the local Nepalese inhabitants. At the highest point of this trek, the Annapurna base camp at 4095 meters, you will be treated to a panoramic view of all the majestic mountains of the region. This horseshoe-shaped area is considered sacred by the local Nepalese, who call it the sanctuary.
From Kathmandu, you travel by bus or plane to Pokhara. Once you arrive, the town of Pokhara lies next to the beautiful Phewa Lake. At viewpoints, you can already see all the snowcapped mountain peaks of the Annapurna region. The trek Annapurna Base Camp takes of not far from Pokhara.
As soon as you start your hike, you have amazing views of the characteristic Machapuchre mountain, also known as Fishtail mountain. While travelling through the rich rhododendron forests, you will constantly see glimpses of the Annapurna.
Further along the trail, at Chomrong, you enter the area of the base camp. After a few days of climbing, crossing rivers and forests you will notice a temperature change. Because of the altitude, the temperature drops. On the trail to Annapurna Base Camp, you will cross the Machapuchre base camp.
At the heart of the Annapurnas, you are surrounded by the impressive mountain peaks. This mighty sight is a sight you will not easily forget. Following your visit to the base camp, the trail takes you back to Chomrong. Finally, you walk a different path back to the road where a car will bring you to your hotel in Pokhara. Here, at Phewa Lake, you can recover from this beautiful trek.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 hrs.)
Day 3: Drive to New Bridge and trek to Chomrong (1951m – 5 hrs.)
Day 4: Trek to Dovan ( 2130 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 5: Trek to Machapuchre Base Camp ( 3720 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 6: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp ( 4095 m – 4 hrs.)
Day 7: Trek to Bamboo ( 2050 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 8: Trek to Jhinu Danda ( 1700 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 9: Trek to Pitam Deurali (2100m – 6 hrs.)
Day 10: Trek to Kande (1770m – 4 hrs.) and drive to Pokhara
Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (6 hrs.)
Day 12: Free day at leisure in Kathmandu
Day 13: Departure; pick up from the hotel and drop off at the international airport
During the trekking season, prices may rise. The final price depends on the trekking season, group size and the cost of local transfers.
