The Panchase Trek is a short trek starting at the beautiful Phewa Lake at Pokhara. This is a very non-touristic and quiet trek. Filled with stunning panoramic views off the impressive Annapurna Mountains. The treks passes through some original Gurung villages. From the Panchase Hill on day four you will be treated with an impressive sunrise of the Annapurnas. This trek ends at the village of Phedi where we take the local bus or taxi back to Pokhara.
It is possible to extend this trek up to twelve days. The options are a wide variety of choices to trek to local hills and villages, or hike all the way up to Annapurna Base Camp.
This short trek starts with a relaxing boat tour to the other side of Lake Phewa. From the bank it is a climb through a lushy forest to the World Peace Pagoda. At the Pagoda you will have time to enjoy this peaceful place and enjoy the panoramic view of the Annapurna Mountain range. Along the trail you will see authentic Gurung villages. The first night you will stay at the remote teahouse of Bhumdi. Situated in the middle of the farmlands you will a have a wide view of the mountains and the surrounding area. After Bhumdi you hike a full day through a dense forest of rhododendron with local orchids hanging from the trees. This forest trail ends at the comfortable and lovely teahouse of Panchase Bhanjyang. Weather depending, we will climb early in the morning to Panchase Hill for a breath taking sunrise of the entire Annapurna Mountain range. And you probably will enjoy this view alone because this is such a remote trek. After this impressive sunrise you descend to the village of Badhaure. After Badhaure you will join the more busy trails of the Annapurna’s to Australian Camp.
