Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake

The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake is a famous trek in Nepal. It is a round Annapurna trek with a day hike to Tilicho Lake. A remote lake located at an altitude of 4919 meters. You start in subtropical climate, visit the mountain lake and cross the high Thorung La pass with an altitude of 5416 meters.

Before you can start the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake trek you have drive by tourist bus first to Besisahar, and second to Dharapani. From here on you trek trough bamboo forests and pass by local villages. You follow the Marsyangdi river all the way to, eventually, Tilicho Lake. First you will enjoy a resting day at Manang. An optional day hike into the Braga Valley will help with the acclimatization. Within a few days you will reach the shores of Tilicho Lake. The views around this high located lake and its surrounding area are mighty impressive. After that you will continue your round Annapurna trek towards the high pass of Thorung La. Again you will be treated with stunning views from the high pass. A long descent takes you to Muktinath. This site is holy for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho lake tour continues towards green rhododendron forests of the Annapurna foothills. At Birethanti a taxi waits for you and will bring you to Pokhara where you can relax at the lake.

Day 05                  Resting day at Manang for acclimatization. Optional day hike to local Valley.
Day 06                  Trek to Khansar (3734 m – 5 hrs.)
Day 07                  Day hike to Tilicho Lake (4949 m), overnight at Khansar (7 hrs.)
Day 08                  Trek to Yak kharka (4018 m – 7 hrs.)
Day 09                  Trek to Thorung phedi (4450 m – 4.30 hrs.)
Day 10                  Cross over Thorung La Pass (5416 m -8 hrs.) overnight at Muktinath (3800 m.)
Day 11                  Local transport to Jomsom and trek to Marpha (2665 m – 3 hrs.)
Day 12                  Trek to Kalopani (2530 m -6 hrs.)
Day 13                  Trek to Tatopani (1190 m -6 hrs.)
Day 14                  Trek to Sikha (1935 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 15                  Trek to Ulleri (1960 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 16                  Trek to Birethanti (5 hrs.) and drive to Pokhara ( 2 hrs.)
Day 17                  Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu

When you arrive at the International Airport we will pick you up and bring you to your accommodation. Here we will give you a short briefing about the trek. In addition, we will give you advice about hygienic food, customs, and sightseeing in Kathmandu.
