Poon Hill

If you do not have time for a longer trek to the Himalayas, this is a nice trip to still see the stunning Himalayan up close and personal. It is a short but beautiful trek to a unique view point in the Annapurna region. From Poon Hill you will be treated to a magical mountain panorama of the entire Annapurna range.

From Kathmandu the trip takes you to Pokhara; a town situated at the foot of the Annapurnamountains. Near Pokhara the trek begins. Hiking besides the rice terraces you rise higher every day. Each day passingtrough local villages and teahouses. In Ghorepani we get up early to walk up to Poon Hill. From here the sunrise on the entire Annapurna circuit is a most impressive spectacle. The Annapurna mountains, Dhaulagiri and Machapuchare, you will see them from this exquisite spot. From Ghorepani you hike back through the villages on your way back to Pokhara.

Day 01                  Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara, flight is optional (6 hrs.)
Day 02                  Drive to Hille ( 2,5 hrs.), and trek to Ulleri (1960 m – 3 hrs.)
Day 03                  Trek to Ghorepani (2874 m – 5 hrs.)
Day 04                  Climb to Poon Hill (3119 m) for sunrise, and trek to Tadapani (2721 m- 5 hrs.)
Day 05                  Trek to Ghandruk (1951 m – 4 hrs.)
Day 06                  Trek to Potana (1900 m – 5 hrs.)
Day 07                  Trek to Kande (1460 m), and drive to Pokhara
Day 08                  Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu, flight is optional (6 hrs.)

During the trekking season prices may rise. The final price depends on the trekking season, group size and the cost of local transfers.

We have noticed the ways of travelling and booking are changing rapidly. Many customers book a hotel or a guesthouse themselves prior to their journey. However, we would happily like to arrange accommodation for you. We have excellent contacts with various hotels and guesthouses and will be able to offer a good price rate for any budget.

When you arrive at the International Airport we will pick you up and bring you to your accommodation. Here we will give you a short briefing about the trek. In addition we will give you advice about hygienic food, customs, and sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Cost include:
-Pick up and drop off from Kathmandu International Airport to hotel
-Return drive Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus; return flight is optional
-Certificate of CO2- emission free return drive Kathmandu to Pokhara
-One night in guesthouse in Pokhara before and after trek
