Maximum altitude: 6476 m

Mera Peak at 6476 metres, is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal. Its summit panorama takes in five of the world’s 8000 metre peaks; Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest and Cho Oyu. This ultimate Himalayan trekking and climbing adventure begins with jeep drive to Phaplu in the Solu Khumbu. From here, we begin trekking through the terraced farmland and forest of Nepal’s ‘Middle Hills’, passing small villages and settlements inhabited by the Sherpas.
After a day’s drive from Kathmandu you will arrive in Paphlu. Paphlu and Salleri, which is next door, are important villages for the local communities nearby. The trek starts to Thaksindu La pas. A pass which is passed by many trekkers who follow the old route to Everest Base Camp starting from Jiri. After Khari Khola you will leave the main trail and hike into the remote Hinku valley. Authentic Sherpa live passes by, and the locals are curious to meet and greet you. Eventually you will reach Khare where you find yourself just below the Mera glacier. After an acclimatization day you face the challenge and climb Mera Peak. The view from the summit to the mountains of the Everest region are well worth all the effort. From the peak you can see Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest and Cho Oyu. After the climb you descent down to Khare. From Khare you will trek to Lukla.
A flight back to Kathmandu ends this peak climbing adventure.
